Listening & Learning
Columbus Visa group is a a global group of professional immigration agents assisting people to move across international borders for work.
Columbus Visa group was started by two extremely passionate founders looking to build a business to support workers around the world. I was engaged initially to help on the logo creation. However, after our first conversation, we realised that to market the business, they needed to figure out their position in the market, their point of difference and value proposition
That way, they could advertise independently with the resources they needed to grow over the first year operating.
We started with a discovery workshop to understand what the goals for Columbus were, their challenges and who their customers were. Columbus wanted to appeal to people in the 30-45 age range, particularly those with at least 5 years of professional experience and the willingness to relocate.
Aligning & Designing
Following our discovery workshop and thorough competitor analysis, the founders and I worked together in a brand strategy workshop. This session was instrumental in establishing Columbus Visa Group’s positioning, mission statement, and defining the brand attributes.
Guided by this positioning and the aspirational personalities of the target d’audience, we identified the brand attributes: Expertise, Innovation, Customer Focus and Achivement.
With these brand attributes laid out, we started to define a logo, symbols and colours to set their marketing positioning.
We shared sources of inspiration and ideas, narrowing down a direction for the brand identity and decided to explore the key attributes of the brand.
Refining & Delivering
Upon finalizing the brand identity, I proceeded to create a compact collateral package for the business launch. This encompassed crafting business cards and designing assets for their Instagram account.
The founders’ satisfaction was evident, and they later opted for an extended collaboration. This enabled us to design t-shirts, water bottles, and notepads as thoughtful client gifts, demonstrating their commitment to excellence.
